H. P. Lovecraft
Sara Barkat, illustrator of The Yellow Wall-Paper: A Graphic Novel has released a new graphic novel adaptation of H. P. Lovecraft's classic gothic story The Colour Out of Space. Reviewer Glynn Young has called the adaptation "a classic of its own." Barkat interprets the text as ecofiction, exploring the connections between individuals and the natural world, to bring life into a tale of chilling horror with art inspired by woodcut (white pen on black paper with select pages colored in gouache).
