LitShelf (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates litshelf.app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
Information we collect
- —Account information — when you sign up with email and password or via Google, we collect your email address, display name, and (for Google sign-in) your profile picture.
- —Reading data — books you add to your shelves, reading status, ratings, notes, and any lists you create.
- —Billing information — if you subscribe to LitShelf Pro, payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- —Usage data — standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used solely for security and performance monitoring.
How we use your information
- —To provide and maintain the LitShelf service
- —To send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)
- —To process subscription payments
- —To improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns
We do not sell your personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond operating LitShelf.
Third-party services
LitShelf relies on the following trusted third-party providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

- —Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. stripe.com/privacy

Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Cookies
LitShelf uses cookies solely to maintain your login session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Children's privacy
LitShelf is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of LitShelf after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
