Terms of Service

Use of the service

LitShelf is a personal book tracking app. You may use it to track your reading, create shelves, and manage your book lists. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• —Use LitShelf for any unlawful purpose
• —Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data
• —Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from LitShelf at scale
• —Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure

Subscriptions and billing

LitShelf offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of any content you add to LitShelf (notes, lists, etc.). You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the service. The LitShelf name, logo, and app code are our property.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

LitShelf is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do. Continued use of LitShelf after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
